Kawasaki Heavy industries ,Ltd. will build a new shipbuilding plant,which would be ranked as the biggest level one in China, with a joint venture company set up there and about 60-billion yen invested. The production there is expected to begin around 2010, and the purpose of the project is to cope with South korean rivals in making low-cost ships.
