ハイチ：首都から民間人が相当数、周辺地域に流出

　the city of 3mというから300万人くらいの都市なのかな。ここから3月の8～27日の、ざっと3週間で5万3千人ほどが流出。

　そりゃあ流出もしたくなろうというものだが、問題は流出された周辺地域がこの難民の相手をする余裕を持てるかどうか。そもそも大地震で壊滅したりした地域でもあり、そもそも年単位で流通が怪しかった国で、地方に当座の食糧をもつ余裕があったかどうか―って、まあないわな。常識的に考えて。

UN figures suggest more than 53,000 left the city of 3m between 8-27 March.

The UN is warning that the rural regions to which many have fled are not equipped to deal with such a large influx of displaced people.」

　首都のギャングたちだって、薬局や学校を放火したり略奪したり―って、学校ですよ学校。碌々、略奪しうるものもないだろう、そんなところ。図書館？　本が売れるのは、そこそこ生活が安定した状況でだ。一週間くらいは飯の心配がないとか、そういうような。…つまり焚き付け程度とか、そういう…？

　警察は大統領官邸を防衛しつつあるとか書いてますが。大学も病院も略奪対象。コマンドセンターに使いたいから―というのは、まあ理解できる襲撃理由。

「Haiti's national police succeeded in repelling an attack on the presidential palace on Monday but armed men stormed the nearby State University of Haiti hospital, known by its initials HUEH, to use it as their command centre.」

　なんにせよ病院としての機能は喪失―ということでしょう。…極まってきたなあ…。
