意識の高い彼らは「地域」をみておらず、自己の強欲を満たすための「フィールド」でしかないのだ。たまったもんじゃない。

　まあそのケスラー提督の若き日のように、卑屈にならぬよう自分を律するのみですというくらいが普通の人の限度だよなあと思うなど。
　もう若くないが、私にできることを一つずつかなえてゆくことしかできないのだろう。諦めないで―と。
　辛いことに、諦めずに仕事をし続けること自体、強者の証であり、務めであるらしいのだ。見回してみよ、能力も意図も失ってしまった者たちばかりじゃないか。
