高炉CO2排出３割減 官民共同開発 水素活用し製鉄 商用化１０年後目標
The Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry is going to develop a new type of blast furnace that is able to reduce its carbon dioxide emision by about 30 % in cooperation with major domestic steel makers such as Nippon Steel and JFE steel.Instead of using coke consisting of mainly carbon,they will use hydrogen in the new method.Starting from fisacl 2008 with the investment of 25 billion yen,the project proceeds,and in ten years they intend to make the syetem put in commercial basis.
