11月25日 Old News Is New Again
Part 1
Centenarians have fun and here are two great examples. A woman in the
US state of Idaho has marked her 102nd birthday with a parachute jump
off a bridge. Dorothy Custer did a tandem jump with an instructor over a
local river. They landed safely on the river bank. Custer celebrated her
101st birthday last year by traveling on a zip line across the river. And a
105-year-old New Zealander has also drawn attention by continuing to
fulfill the legal requirements to drive. Bob Edwards attained his license in
1925 at age 17. Drivers aged over 80 in New Zealand must have their
health and eye sight certified by a doctor every two years. Edwards has
met both requirements. He continues to drive about 15 kilometers at least
three times a week from his home to the shops.

Part 2
A first edition copy of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" the first in
the Harry Potter series has sold for 228,000 dollars at auction at Sotheby's in
London. The winning bidder's name hasn't been disclosed. British novelist
J.K. Rowling wrote seven novels about a boy wizard, Harry Potter and his
adventures. More than 450 million copies of the books have sold around the
world. The auction copy was one of only 500 first editions and is considered
rarest among the series. The copy contains the author's handwritten notes,
such as how she came up with the sport of Quidditch for the series. It also
contains 22 original illustrations including one of a baby Harry
