Six types of efforts (part one):
I have long thought that the following six types of efforts are important as a principle to brush up our mind.
You should make efforts much more than anybody else:
To pursue your diligent study much more than anybody and continue it single-heartedly. If there is a time of making some complaints, you should make efforts to improve your initiative, to even a centimeter ahead.
You should be modest and not arrogant:
As a Chinese classics tells us "Modesty deserves benefit," the mind of modesty brings us happiness, which finally leads us to purification of our mind.
