経営はトップの器で決まる
How business management is depends on the management top's caliber:

経営者の人格が高まるにつれ、企業は成長発展していきます。私はそれを「経営はトップの器で決まる」と表現しています。
The higher a business operator's personality enhances, the bigger the company grows. I express that situation by saying " How business management is depends on the management top's caliber."

会社を立派にしていこうと思っても、「蟹は甲羅に似せて穴を掘る」というように、経営者の人間性、いわば人間としての器の大きさにしか企業はならないものなのです。
As the prover says, "A crab digs a hole at the bottom of the sea depending on the size of its shell," no matter how seriously you may want to make your company big, the company will not grow beyond your caliber as a human, or personality of yours.

成功するまで諦めない
You should not give up on things until you get reach a success:

成功するかしないかは、その人の熱意と執念に強くかかわっている。成功しない人は体裁のいい理由をつけ、自分を慰め、すぐ諦めてしまいます。
Whether you will succeed or not depends on your enthusiasm or intensity. The person who could not reach a success would easily console himself with some good excuse and give up on his challenge.

何かを成し遂げたいなら、狩猟民族が槍一本を持ち、どんなに風雨が吹こうと、獲物の足跡を何日も追い続け、その住処を見つけ、つかまえるまで決して諦めないというような生き方が必要だ。
In order to attain some achievement, you need a way of living like that of hunting people who would finally find the place of an animal and catch it without giving up on the thoughts, after following the footprints many days, having only a spear, no matter how heavily wind may blow, or it may rain.
