素直な目
Candid eyesight:
一切のものにとらわれてはいけません。素直な目で現象を見なければなりません。先入観を持っていては、物事はその真実を語ってくれません。
You should be free from any obsession with things. Or you should see things with your honest eyes. With some preconceptions, you could not be able to see true aspects of things.
一方では、「何としてもやらなければならない」という思いがありますから、もう一方では、苦しければ苦しいほど、現象をつぶさに見つめ直すという素直な姿勢が必要となるのです。そうすれば、今まで見過ごしていたものを、ハッと見つけるものです。
In realty, when you have a firm resolve of "I'd like to accomplish the thing no matter what," the more you are in a difficult situation, the more you need to have an honest and flexible attitude to review phenomena around you. Then you could notice, all of a sudden, what you have failed to see.
