laugh and peace

先日テレビの英語deしゃべらナイトに波田陽区が出てきました。正直言ってあまりギター侍は面白いとは思わないのですが、世界に進出したいと言う彼の意気込みは大した者だと思いました。おそらく全く相手にしてもらえないでしょうが、言うだけでも大した者だと感心するは甘すぎるかな。
でも彼が最後に言った ”laugh and peace” は語呂が良いので、座布団一枚ものです。
私のモットーは一日一笑ですが、これは日本語では良いのですが、英語で言うと ”a laugh a day”で、余りしまる感じではないと思っていました。そこで私の新しいモットーは ”laugh and peace, a laugh a day”と長くする事にしました。

そこで、短いジョークを２点紹介します。
Asked by his teacher to spell "straight", the third-grade boy did so without error.
"Now", said the teacher, "What does it mean?"
"Without water." replied the boy.
