イタリア：一気に49名の死亡を報告

　イタリアが死者数を大規模更新。49名を報告、総数196名へ。

BBC Coronavirus: Italy reports biggest daily jump in death toll 7 Mar 2020

「The death toll from the new coronavirus in Italy has risen to 197 after the largest daily increase in fatalities there since the outbreak began.

Officials said 49 people had died in 24 hours, while more than 4,600 cases have been reported in total.」

　アベレージ年齢は81とあり、まあその、そりゃ肺炎起こしたら死ぬよなそれ、という年齢。イタリアはものっそい高齢化社会だそうで、よそさんより余計に死んでいるのはそういう関係もないではないだろう。にしても、80まで生きればまあ大往生と言えそうなところ、満足な葬式も出来ないわけであり、その点はなるほど人権にえらく制限がかかったものだよなあと同情する。

「The national health institute said the average age of those who have died was 81, with the majority suffering from underlying health problems. An estimated 72% of all those who have died were men.」

　死亡率4.25%というのは本格的に恐怖するに値する。ともかく高年齢者はたまらん。

「According to government data, 4.25% of individuals confirmed to have the coronavirus have died, the highest rate in the world.

Italy has one of the world's oldest populations.」

「As of Saturday, South Korea has had 6,767 cases and 46 deaths. Iran has had about 3,500 cases and 124 deaths though these figures are believed to be underestimated.」

　韓国やイランの数字は過小評価されてないか、と書かれもする。してもしなくても、ここまでくれば大して変わらん、という気は多少するが。
