厳寒の中で思い返しました I reconsidered in intense cold.

　雪が残る休耕田さんに、陽が昇りました。
The morning sun rose to the idle farmland where the snow remained.



昨日は、１月１７日でした。
阪神淡路大震災から、１８年目の朝です。
It was January 17 yesterday.
It was a morning of year 18 from Hanshin-Awaji (Kobe) Earthquake.



心静かに、黙祷いたしました。
せせらぎの音が、静かに響いておりました。
I calmly offered a silent prayer.
The sound in the brooklet quietly affected.



その後、日本では、さまざまな状況が変化しました。
揺れる天地の中でも、根を伸ばす努力を、皆が続けております。
Afterwards, various situations have changed in Japan.
People are continuing the effort to extend the root in the shaking universe.



寒い日も、暑い日も、国民の皆様は、歩き続けてきました。
The people have continued to walk on a cold day and a hot day.



毎日の尊い努力を続けていれば、見えてくるものが、きっとあります。
There is surely the one that comes into view if an honorable effort of every day is continued.



厳寒の中にも、輝く光は、きっとあるはずです。
Also in intense cold, there must be shining light.
