第二電電（現KDDI）設立前、約6カ月もの間、毎日、どんなに遅く帰っても、たとえ酒を飲んでいようとも、必ずベッドに入る前に、「動機善なりや、私心なかりしか」と自分に問い続けました。通信事業参入の動機が善であり、そこに一切の私心はないということを確認して、ようやく手を挙げたのです。
For about 6 months before DDI Corporation (present KDDI Corporation) was founded, every day, no matter how late I came home, or even if I drank, I never fail to continue to ask myself " Is my motive virtuous? Don't I have selfishness?" before going to bed. I confirmed the motive to enter into the telecommunication market was virtuous in that way, then I raised the hand to do so.
