Are there any better ways?
私は技術者あがりのせいもあって、これでいいのか、もっといいやり方はないのかという疑問を、いつも自分に投げかけることを習い性としてきました。そういう目で見れば、雑用ひとつとっても、そこに工夫の余地は無数にあるものです。
I have made it a rule to always ask myself if it's OK to do things this way, or whether there is any other better way to do things, because I was an engineer. Viewed from that point, there is a lot of room to be improved even in the field of chores.
どんなに小さなことにも工夫改良の気持ちを持って取り組んだ人と、そうでない人とでは、長い目で見ると驚くほどの差がついているものです。
There will be a big difference over a long period of time between those who have made efforts to improving things even if it's a small thing and those who have not done such things. And that difference is not small but extraordinary big.
