恨み骨髄

　スペシャルな冗談「アメリカ合衆国の民主主義は10年間のグレタ・トゥンベリの叱責に堪え得るのだから、諸君は数か月のイーロン・マスクに堪え得ることだろう」に笑いの声も起きないのは、そりゃあもう事の本質をえぐり過ぎているからだろう。

「Even a joke, "if American democracy can survive 10 years of [climate campaigner] Greta Thunberg scolding, you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk", failed to raise a single laugh.」

　グレタ・トゥンベリの叱責は、される側がその圧倒的な強力さの行使を控えるところに成立していた。年少の女性という弱者である故、それに対する実力行使は、文明人には許容されがたいという構造からむしろ最強ランクの人物となってしまうバグ技を使っていたわけだ。だから今度はアメリカ人・白人系・男性・超巨大企業の運営者という「最弱」からのコメントなど、耐えるというほどのこともない！という―

　―結局、アメリカ合衆国の力量に頼り切ってたわけだよな？という本質を提示されては、そりゃあ笑いも起きない。

　ここしばらくの米国の恨みつらみがもろっと露呈した瞬間である。つまりこれは米国内向けの演説であったと、そういうわけだ。

「He accused European governments of retreating from their values, and ignoring voter concerns on migration and free speech.

Vance's speech went down very badly - unequivocally badly. It was extraordinarily poorly judged.」

　なんにせよウクライナとは前向きな会談があったとのことで、どういった程度に国際政治の正義を反映できるかは不分明。

　期待しすぎは厳に慎むべきだが、トランプだからダメに違いないというのも無論反対側のダメ態度ではある。

　恐らく平和で、かつ安定的に儲かる道を提示してくれ―というのがトランプに通じやすい筋じゃなかろうか。ウクライナ東部の鉱山利権の確保はわかりやすいが、それが国際的に高く売れそうな筋。東部諸州も根本的にはウクライナの土地に戻り、数十年のスパンで再侵略がない―鉱山を安定的に・合法的に・後ろめたくなく市場にものを流せる状態になること。

　まあ、まだカーテンの向こうですよ。
