両極端を併せ持つ
to have two opposite extremes:

バランスの取れた人間性を持たなければならない。つまり、慎重さと大胆さの両方が必要なのだ。一つの人格の中に、相反する両極端を併せ持ち、局面によって正常に使い分けられる人間でなければならない。
You should have a well-balanced personality. That means you need both carefulness and boldness. You need to have two opposite extremes in your personality and use them in an appropriate way, depending on the situation.

インスピレーションの源②
The source of your inspiration:

人はインスピレーションを外に求めがちだ。しかし私は、内に求める。自分が今やっている仕事の可能性をとことん追求して、改良を加えていくと、想像もつかないような大きな革新を図ることができる。
People have a tendency to try to get their inspiration from things outside of themselves, but I would rather seek it looking at inside of me. Pursuing possibility of the job you are doing now to the fullest, and adding some improvement to that would create a bigger innovation than you haven't expected.

インスピレーションの源①
The source of your inspiration:

真にクりエイティブなインスピレーションは、神からの啓示を願うほどの切羽つまった状況、そして謙虚で真摯な態度からしか生まれてこない。そのためには、まず困難に真正面から取り組む姿勢が必要なのだ。
A really creative inspiration is what is born only in a difficult situation where you have to ask for a divine revelation or from your modest and serious attitude of your mind. So, first of all, you have to have an attitude to face difficulties squarely.

誰にも負けない努力
Efforts you have made more than anybody else:

いくら人並みの努力を続けていても、みんなが等しく努力を重ねている中にあっては、ただ当たり前のことをしているだけです。
Although you have continued making a mediocre effort for a long time, it might be just like you have been doing common things because everyone is making efforts likewise.

人並み以上の誰にも負けない努力を続けていかなければ、大きな成果など期待することはできないでしょう。
Unless you keep making efforts more than anybody else, a big result would not be expected.

「誰にも負けない努力」とは「ここまでやったからいいのだ」といったように、ゴールがあるものではありません。終点を設けず、先へ先へと設定されるゴールを果てしなく追いかけていく。そんな無限に続く努力のことです。
There is no goal or end for" efforts you have made more than anybody else." It's not like it's OK because you have done things to this extent. You should pursue the goals which will be set endlessly a step forward. An infinite effort.

創造者の責務
The responsibility of a creator:

「もう、これ以上のものはない」と確信できるものが完成するまで努力を惜しまない。
それが創造という高い山の頂上をめざす人間にとって非常に大事なことであり、義務ですらあるのです。
That you will not stop making efforts until confirming there's no better thing than this.
That kind of principle is very crucial for a person who wants to climb the top of a high mountain, or could be said to be a responsibility of them.
