利益を誇りに思う
You should be proud of making profits:

利益を追求することは決して恥ずべきことではない。自由競争の原理が働いているマーケットにおいて、堂々と商いを行い、得た利益は正当なものだ。むしろ、経営者と従業員が額に汗して勝ち取った利益だから、誇りに思うべきものなのだ。
Pursuing profits would not be what you should be ashamed of. Profits you have made by squarely doing business in a free competition market are legitimate and fair. To be more exact, you should be proud of them, because they have been acquired with both business owner and employees altogether working for them.

商いの極意
The secrets to business:

商いの極意は、お客様から信用されることだと言われている。もちろん、信用は商売の基本だが、信用の上に徳が求められ、お客様から尊敬されるという次元がある。尊敬にまで達する、お客様との絶対的な関係を築くこと、それこそが真の商いではないだろうか。
The secret to business is said to be being trusted by your clients. Of course, trust is basics of business, but there is an upper stage where you are requested to have virtue in addition to trust and then you are respected by your clients. I've been thinking that establishing an absolute relationship with your clients reaching each other's respect is a real secret to business.

志に拠って立つ
To stand based on your will:

固い志に拠って立つ人は、目標へと続く道筋が眼前から消え去ることは決してない。たとえ途中でつまづいても、くじけても、また立ち上がって前へ前へと進むことができる。逆に、志なき人の前には、いかなる道もひらかれることはない。
For those who stand firmly based on their will, the path to their goal will not disappear from their sight. Although they stumble or get disappointed in the middle of the way, they will stand up again and go forward. On the contrary, for those who don't have their will, there is no way leading them somewhere.

ベストではなくパーフェクト
Not best but perfect:

ベストという言葉は、他と比較して、その中では最もいいといった意味で、いわば相対的な価値観である。したがって、レベルの低いところでもベストは存在する。しかし、私がめざすのはベストではなく、パーフェクトである。パーフェクトはベストとは違って絶対的なものだ。他との比較ではなく、完全な価値を有したもので、他がどうであれ、パーフェクトを超えるものは存在し得ない。
The word of best means it would be best of others around you, so kind of a relative sense of value. Therefore, best could exist in a low-level area. But what I would pursue is not best but perfect. Perfect is an absolute concept, different from best. It is not what is referred to with comparison to others but is what holds value itself. No matter how others may be, there could be nothing beyond perfect.

本物になる人
A man who will become a reliable person:

大胆なだけでは、パーフェクトな仕事はできません。繊細なだけでは、新しいことにチャレンジする勇気は生まれません。仕事をする場合、どうしても豪快さと緻密さという、二律背反するような性格を備え、局面によって使い分けられる人が必要です。
私は、繊細でシャープな神経の持ち主が、場数を踏むことによって、真の勇気を身につけていったときにはじめて、本物になると思っています。
Only being bold doesn't make you perfect. Only being sensitive doesn't create your courage to try to do new things. There are two opposite elements needed in doing business, I think. That means two contradicting elements, boldness and sensitivity, are needed and they should be used depending on the situation.
Only If one with sensitivity and sharpness gets a real courage through a lot of experiences, one will become a reliable person.
