Something has changed here and there.
I suppose Japan is changing somehow.
The world has been changing so rapidly these days.
Something is different here in Tokyo. I don't know what it is.
I've met my friend M, and her experience has meant a lot, too.
She lives in Kansai, and kansai is far from kanto and Tohoku.
According to her, those who've been against the nuclear power plants won't be able to take it advantage to enjoy full of electronic indulgence we used to. How to save energy and the asset of the earth we've devoured too much
could be considered seriously from our daily living. Yes, something has to be changed. We really have to think and act listening to the voices of the mother earth herself. To live together in harmony is always required so far, but looking back the human history, we have to turn our own faces from such awful miseries and atrocities. However, still we can't run away from what we’ve been confronting now and tomorrow.
A good news was that "Living Spirit: Literature and Resurgence in Okinawa" is going to be published this July from the University of Hawaii. The price is 20 dollars and not so expensive. Those people who've been engaged in translation project are wonderful to have contributed to appeal Okinawan writer’s and poet’s works to the world.
東京は梅雨に入っていて夕方から空気はやはり幾分爽やかで沖縄より温度が低くなる。透明感がこの池袋から離れた江古田の空気である。牛丼と冷たいうどんを食べた。バーゲンセールで３９０円。日本の歴史の香り・匂いのする食べ物はいいなーと素朴に思う。駅の構内の人々の波は変らない。でも道を尋ねる時に答えてくれる人々の顔に声に以前よりどこかぬくもりのような声音があるのだと感じたりしていた。これがこの大都会の変化なのだろうか？などと考えていたりした。駅からウィクリーマンションまでは遠くはなかった。手ごろなお値段である。都市の透明感、食べ物屋が並ぶ町のたたずまい、そこはまた大学街でもあるようだ。日大芸術学部という、有名な学部で研究大会があり、今日東京にやってきた。朝授業があってその後で急いで空港に駆け付けた時、飛行機は出る寸前だった。案内をして重い荷物を運んでくれたのが、以前大学で教えたＫ君だった。ありがとう！
気がついたらＰＰを半分ほど作成していたＵＳＢメモリーを忘れていた。やれやれ、物事は慌てず計画的にやらないとこうなるのよ、の事例だった。それにしても私はどうしてこう完璧から遠いのだろう！すべてが途上の半端な中で終わるという中絶性にもうさよならして、少しはことばをしっかり自分の物にする必要があろう。悲しい事は年齢に並行して人は必ずしも賢くなるわけではないという事かもしれない。賢く老いる道を？！いつまでもゆらゆら揺れる、それも悪くはないとも思いつつーーー。
<今朝、キャンパスの桜の樹の幹によじ登って餌を待っているイソヒヨドリのオス、彼の青い上半身（と言っていいのだろうか）そして鈍い赤色の色合いが好きだ！＞
