The government is now deliberating how to impose a reasonable tax on share exchange ,which is taken when a forein company is engage in merger and acquisition(M&A) of a Japanese company.According to the government's plan, even though a foreign comapony proceeds M&A of a Japanese company by at first buying a Japanese shareholder company of the M&A -targeted Japanese company with the share exchange method, imposing tax to the Japanese sharehoder comapny by the government will be postponed. This ia gusts of the idea.
