EJ: The yen-dollar rate is going berserk.
Perry: Yes.
EJ: What do you think about that? I mean, I'm, I'm sure that some Japanese are either worried or, you know, jubiliant, um, you know, because the dollar is becoming cheaper. What...? What's your take on this?
まず "berserk" は知らない単語ですが為替相場が上下していることからして多分荒れているというような意味だと推測しますが辞書で確認します。

推測はだいたい当たっていました。　語源は北欧の伝説からきたようです。
