"Instead of focusing on Snowden, and shooting the messenger, we should really focus on the crimes of the NSA. Because whatever laws Snowden may or may not have broken, they are infinitesimally small compared to the [those laws] violated by the NSA."

-- Radack, someone who actually knows wtf she's talking about.

That interviewer is very rude, he talks over them and interrupts them to insert his vague and accusing statements. A professional media journalist should always remain neutral, unbiased, LISTEN more and focus on the information that persons being interviewed are giving. (That's what they teach you in journalism, diplomacy, political sciences and international relations).

With Terrorists stealing American weapons, don't you think it's even more imperative to stop them? And Greenwald's gay Brazilian lover, and the situation for which he expatriated himself, give him a clear motive in wanting revenge against the US government. He vocally said it, I'm only repeating the words from the man himself. Greenwald is the one who's selling that "story" to us. Look it up, it's about time people got the facts about this tawdry trio.

And another thing, for you who thinks America can do no wrong, from CNN themselves, what America was really up to during the 1979-1989 Afghanistan war. If you think this is propaganda, have a gander at the symbol in the corner of the picture.

How about Russian anti-terrorist units operating in Chechnya who found American anti-aircraft missiles and weapons and extensive evidence of close American military and financial support? I bet you even have a glib answer for that. And what the hell exactly are "trade enemies"? What, is there a war on that now which I don't know about?

Well, you just keep piping on about Greenwalds Brazilian lover, because no one else here buys into that cheap novel trash they're selling you guys there.

Viewed by whom? Terrorists and trade enemies? Snowden had the protection of the ICWPA (1998) through which he could have taken concerns. However, the provisions dictate a "serious" breach of constitutional rights, which his stolen documents reveal were not (Congress has already amended them). What he did was give Greenwald a complete "blueprint" of how NSA works, far, far beyond acting as an "advocate" for civil rights. Greenwald just wants revenge for David Michael Miranda.

PRISM and Tempora never "watched" or "recorded" any citizens without a legal warrant, and each warrant requires PC. Tempora only collects the kind of data which has been collected since the 1960s, extended to digital communications. Snowden was indoctrinated in the ICWPA, the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act of 1998, which guarantees protection. He chose to steal and transmit top-secret documents instead. His bad, his charges, his punishment.

Why did they cut the final question and answer?

  • Alex462047

Oh? You're sure about that, are you? Well, I'll just have to check what I read, then, won't I? *laughter*

What I understand of American policy has been viewed from the receiving end of it, and it isn't pretty. A lot of people are upset about it, so don't you go telling me that I got the wrong end of the stick. Perhaps Snowden did violate your laws. So come and get him....if you can! He answers for himself, but he isn't about to hand himself freely over the the wolves. You won't give him justice.

hmmmmm and the government has the moral high ground by watching and recording its citizens? it wrong wether its in america, north korea, eritrea, uk from the wealthiest to the poorest it matters none what the government is doing is wrong and we would never find out if it wasnt for a whistleblower!

  • BhinDingh

You don't understand American policy. You get all your "information" from socialist "activist" (read: agitation) groups intent on disrupting American trade at the behest of their Chinese paymasters. All that's at issue here is: did Edward Snowden violate the USC articles for which he has been charged? If he has, he has to stand tall before the Man. Period.
