visit a relative's house

I came back home at 12 in the afternoon today. I gave New Year's gift to my brother and it was a first thing I gave New Year's gift to someone. I had a strange feeling.

I went my relative's house for New Year's greeting in the afternoon. Ordinally I went both my father's home and my mother's home but this time I only went to my mother's home. As I told you before, there are many cats in my mother's home. When we ate dinner there, it's sure there are some cats. This year was too. But I don't dislike this atmosphere. I don't know why but I calm down when I am there. I think it is the very effect of home. I hope I spend New Year's day at here.

Pay a visit to a shrine on New Year's Day

When I arrived at Ushiku Budda, the festival is already finished a couple of hours ago. It was really disappointed me. Because it could not help but be there, I'd decided to go to the Mt.Tsukuba to see the sunrise on New Year's Day. It took 40 minutes to arrive at the Mt.Tsukuba from Ushiku Budda. Due to long driving, I felt sleep on the way to go the Mt.Tsukuba.

Though I expected that there will be many people in the Mt.Tsukuba for sunrise, that was exactly what had been on my mind. I couldn't go forward due to congestion. In addition my eyes were heavy with sleep. If I detached brake pedal, my car would have been had an accident by collision. I payed attention not to have an accident as long as I can but my sleepness came to peak. So I stopped my car at the parking and waited for sunrise. Around six thirty, the first sunrise appeared. I took a picture of it. Going down the Mt.Tsukuba was far easier than going up that.

After seeing sunrise, I payed a visit to a shrine on New Year's Day. I went some shrine in Shimotsuma. As long as I rememeber, it's my first time to pay a visit to a shrine on New Year's Day. It was very cold but it was memorable New Year's Day for me.
