BBC African Union chief holds talks with Russia's Lavrov 21 Apr 2022

「The chairman of the African Union commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, held a phone conversation with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday.

Mr Faki posted on Twitter that he "stressed the need to respect international law and urged for dialogue and a peaceful resolution" to the war in Ukraine.」

「The conflict has led to sharp increases in fuel and wheat prices in Africa and threatens to further worsen economies devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic.」

　…とまあ、この戦争は食料・燃料価格に多大な影響を及ぼしており、旱魃飢饉に紛争と、それでなくとも苦難の道を歩むアフリカ諸国としては、「パン籠」たちが機能しない状況は…恐怖としか言いようがあるまいなあと…。
