昨日取り上げた "zinger" についての引用文の最後にあった "checkout hogs" は同じRD７月号のPasseengers From Hellと題された記事の飛行機での旅行で遭遇する迷惑な人の例にあった次の "hog" と同じ意味でしょう。

豚には気の毒ですが、"hog" にはがめついとか利己主義の意味があるようです。
