　43名の死亡を確認したそうな。ちょっと遠方からの出稼ぎ労働者だったそうで―縛られて咽喉を裂かれて殺されて、というのはなんとも、なんとも。

「At least 43 people have been killed in what the Nigerian president has described as an "insane" attack in north-east Nigeria on Saturday.

The attackers tied up agricultural labourers working in rice fields and slit their throats near Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, reports say.」

　さらに、少なくとも6名が重傷。6名ほどが誘拐されたらしい―という。

「"We have recovered 43 dead bodies, all of them slaughtered, along with six others with serious injuries," a local militiaman who helped the survivors told the AFP news agency.」

「At least another six farm workers are thought to have been abducted.」

　最近のBoko Haram（ないしその分派）の犯罪としては特級の悪辣さ・規模。
　…splinter groupが影響力を強めようと過激な作戦を取っている―なんてのはありえるかな。なにしろちょっと前の事件だと、ロバに爆弾をくくって州知事を爆殺しよう、なんて牧歌的なことをしていたわけである。幼女に爆弾背負わせてた頃から比べると、おそらくこれは「資源」不足もあってか、まあ穏健な方向に向かっているんじゃないかとは思えるのだが。

「Militants linked to the Islamic State group (IS) have used a donkey strapped with explosives to ambush the convoy of the governor of Nigeria's north-eastern Borno state.

Governor Babagana Zulum was returning to the state capital, Maiduguri, from Baga town when they were ambushed.」
