　ケニアでも新型コロナウィルスは微妙に流行中。特に年長者には死病に近い死亡率を示しもするし、警戒するのはまことごもっとも。しかしケニアでは、新型コロナウィルス感染者だと判定されることにも同様に恐れを抱くべきであるらしい。

　監獄より立派というほどのもんでもなく、トイレは汚く、掃除人が文句たらたら。まあそこから感染しかねないし。トイレ行って、手を洗うにも水場はひとつ、ああ、水は出れば有難いね、ということらしい。

　一晩で何ドルという宿泊費用もばかにならず、検疫期間は長くなったりもする。患者が医療者に当たるのも、まあ、そりゃあそうしたくもなるのは、わかるには分かる。

「The Kenya Airways pilot, who is now required to self-isolate at home for a further week, advises others to do everything to avoid being put in a mandatory quarantine facility.

"Quarantine is not a good place to be, so if you can avoid being there, just practise personal hygiene and social distancing to avoid all this trouble," he said.」

　ということで、検疫所に詰め込まれたくなければ、衛生的でソーシャルディスタンスを保った状態でいましょうねという、なにやら微妙に倒錯した助言がなされるという、変な話ではある。
