Families are strictly limited to an hour with the coffin in the chapel of rest and no more than 10 people are allowed in. All in the name of curbing the spread of Covid-19.」
墓掘り人や棺運びにはきちんと通知が与えられ、感染者のそれの場合はかっちり感染予防措置をとる。つまりマスク・グローブ、さらには防御スーツ。
「For gravediggers and undertakers, the rules have become even tighter. When they prepare a burial, they're handed a piece of paper - on the top right, there's a code. D3 means a suspected or confirmed coronavirus death. It also means they have to wear full protective suits, masks and gloves.」
とある墓地では埋葬するのはふつう40体がところが、60体にもなった。この数字を信じれば、いつもより5割り増し。増えた分はこの新型コロナウィルスの犠牲者だろうというわけだ。
「On an average day, they bury about 40 bodies at the cemetery. The weekend before last, that figure was about 60.」
ところでどうも、すべての死者についてこんな風に処置しているのであって、つまり普通に死んだ人も混じってないか？ というわけだ。何しろ検査がボトルネック状態で、数千数万の検体を何とかするのは不可能の様子。

Luiz Henrique Mandetta tweeted that Mr Bolsonaro had handed him his notice.
President Bolsonaro had publicly criticised Mr Mandetta for urging people to observe social distancing and stay indoors.
The Brazilian leader disagreed with these measures, instead downplaying the virus as "a little flu".」
