Custom EDC Tanto Upcycled File Neck Knife w/ Kydex sheath
These custom small neck knives are made from quality 100% U.S.A made Nicholson & Simonds files. They were used by a local machine shop and may have some nicks or chips here and there attesting to their former lives. The blades have been tempered back to a useable knife 58-60 rockwell hardness. The file texture on the handle has been ground down enough to provide grip but not be obnoxious when in use.
The fit and finish on all the blades: Flat ground blades with a secondary edge bevel. Distressed acid wash finish, this provides character as well as basic oxidation rust inhibiting barrier. As these knives are all steel they will require occasional light oiling. They are made from tough tool steel and are designed to stay sharp for a reasonably long time, but being high carbon steel they are also easy to resharpen and hone to a wicked edge. Sheaths are either Kydex or Bolatron (a Kydex equivalent with a slightly smoother surface finish) Fitted with brass eyelets and a preinstalled adjustable paracord neck lanyard.
These knives make great EDC neck carry knives, but are also small enough to carry in your pocket or throw in your purse, backpack, or shoulder bag.
