インド：ワクチン接種は素早く進んではいるが

　インドでは猛烈にワクチン接種が進み、8月に1億8000万回以上こなしたぞ―と。

「India administered more than 180 million doses in August as it continues to ramp up its vaccination drive to stave off a third wave of Covid.」

「More than half of India's eligible population - some 473 million people - have received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine, official data says.

But only about 17% of eligible adults have been fully vaccinated since the beginning of the drive in January.」

　ただし1月以来、接種可能な大人のうち17%までしかfull vaccinatedに到達しておらず、人口の多い・少ない、富裕かそうでないかで、州ごとにワクチン接種率の濃淡があるらしく―これ世界の問題の縮図だな。

　…いえまあ、日本に住んでいて「これだから金持ち諸国は！」と言うのは、まあ何なのですが。
　…この点、台湾は金持ち諸国の一員でありながら、政治的に微妙な位置にあることもあってだろうか、日本からのワクチン融通に恩恵を―ということもあり、まあ世界の事情は微妙だなと。

「The three-dose ZyCoV-D vaccine prevented symptomatic disease in 66% of those vaccinated, according to an interim study quoted by the vaccine maker Cadila Healthcare. The ZyCoV-D vaccine is also the world's first DNA vaccine against Covid-19.」

「The government has also authorised Indian pharma company Cipla to import Moderna's vaccine, which has shown nearly 95% efficacy against Covid-19. But it's not clear yet how many doses will be made available to India.」

　とまあ。そんな具合にワクチン接種が強力に進みゆく、また自前でワクチンを開発してるぞ！という国でもあるインドであるが、モデルナワクチンの輸入許可をさっくり出している様子。そっちのほうが効きがいいもん！というのは偽らざる本音か。

　…うん…日本人であるだけで、かなーり、かなーり恵まれてますよねー…というのは否定できないねぇ…。
