To be familiar with what it's like on the site:

社長が毎日現場に出て、現場の大ベテランにならなければならない。現場に行って、社員が「もううるさくてかなわん」というぐらいにならないといけない。
The president of a company should be on the site every day and he should be a great expert in the field. He should be on the company's working site so often that employees would get tired of seeing him there to the extent that they would say "it would be too noisy and too bored to listen to him here."
