Position Announcement: Master Degree Training in Skeletal Muscle Physiology/Plasticity of Skeletal Muscle

Department of Physiology
Graduate School of Health Sciences
Toyohashi SOZO University

An opportunity exists to study for the Master Degree in Skeletal Muscle Physiology with an emphasis in Plasticity of Skeletal Muscle at Department of Physiology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Toyohashi SOZO University. This position will be available at the start of the spring semester of 2011.

The research is focused on the adaptation of skeletal muscle cells to physiological extracellular stimuli, such as loading and unloading. The role of loading on the regenerative potential of injured skeletal muscle is also one of our projects. Additional projects will involve studies of the basic mechanisms regulating the adaption of physiological systems to environments. Recent publications are attached below.

Toyohashi SOZO University is located in Aichi Prefecture in the heart of the Honshu island of Japan. For more information about our department contact me.
