佐藤 琢磨 INDY 500を 制す

29 May 2017 – Takuma Sato has described an "unbelievable" feeling after realising a childhood dream and becoming the first Japanese driver to triumph at the Indianapolis 500.


"It was obviously a very tough race but Helio really drives fair; I can trust him coming from the outside," said Sato.

"It was a fantastic race. Until three laps to go I really didn't know.

"When Helio came side by side with three to go that was the moment I really had to go for it. And we did it and pulled away and it was fantastic. It is unbelievable.

"I really have to thank A.J. Foyt because the last four years he gave me this tremendous experience on his team and now Michael Andretti gave me a fantastic opportunity with his team.

"I want to thank all the 26 car guys and engineers, Honda, everyone. This is really awesome. The organisation is unbelievable. I'm so proud of the whole team. It's just a great victory.

"I dreamed of something like this since I was 12. I had huge ambition and I had to try."

Sato previously came close to winning the 500, spinning out while attempting to pass Dario Franchitti for the lead of the race through Turn 1 on the 200th lap of the 2012 race.

昨日　twitterを　眺めていたら　

佐藤　琢磨　選手が　　　ミルクを　がぶ飲みしている動画をめにした

 

獲ったんだ　　INDY 500  ついに・・・

 

 

 

 

NO attack  NO chance!

琢磨が　若いころから　口にしていた　言葉だ。

「攻めなければ　チャンスは　つかめない！」

みたいな　感じで　訳すのかな？

 

若い時から　その言葉通りの　走りっぷりで

特にＦ１ドライバー　時代は　攻めすぎて・・・みたいな　感じで

批判も　少なからず　あったように　記憶しています。

 

 

そういう　私も　

リスクのある走りで　大きな結果を　狙うより

小さな結果を　積み上げって　言ってほしい　　残念・・

と　いおうような内容の　記事を　このブログに書いたこともあります。

 

 

INDYに　戦いの場を　移してからは

日本での　報道はすくなくなり・・・

 

数年前だったかな

INDY 500で　2位を走りながら　ラストラップで

1位を獲りに行って　クラッシュ・・・

 

あー　琢磨らしいな。

ブレて　ないんだな。って。

 

 

そして　今年

40歳に　なった　佐藤琢磨　選手が　ついにINDY 500を勝ち取った。

“I think you’ve always got to think points are possible if you can finish the race,” said Button, who confessed to feeling like a rookie at times on Thursday rather than the most experienced driver in the pit lane.

The 2017 cars are several seconds a lap quicker this year, with fatter tyres and revised aerodynamics allowing drivers to take some corners flat out.

“You can brake a lot later. The problem for me is that I don’t have the confidence yet,” said Button, who left the sport at the end of last season after 17 years of grand prix racing.

“I arrive at the corners and I still think of the last seven years. That for me is the biggest difficulty,” he said.

“It’s mad driving around here in these cars. Tabac is unbelievably quick and you are arriving at the second part of the Swimming Pool super fast and it’s very enjoyable. A lot more than the last few years.

In the race, Vandoorne made early progress, including an overtake on Renault driver Palmer, but ultimately dropped out after a clash with Williams' Felipe Massa.

"The manoeuvre on Jolyon was my first overtake this season, so at least I got something out of the race," Vandoorne reflected.

"The fact that that move felt so good shows that our package still isn't strong enough, and we're still not in a position to fight with the others.

"We've taken a step forward for this race with the upgrades we brought here, and some areas are definitely improving, but in the race we're still struggling a bit.

"Hopefully we can carry some more improvements into the next race."

Vandoorne will take a three-place grid penalty in Monaco for his Turn 1 collision with Massa.

"I don't want to make any predictions for Monaco, but the chassis has been improving, and hopefully we'll bring a couple more updates that will pay off," he said.

"We'll have to wait and see, and try our best; that's all we can do at the moment."

"I think it's actually been very good for me to develop as a driver," he reckoned. "Even though it's a difficult situation, I think there's so much you learn from this.

"In my junior series [career], I've never almost really had a tough time. I was always fighting for victories, fighting for championships and everything was more or less going smooth.

"Okay, you have the one-off bad race, but it's kind of a new experience for me to go through a bit of a tougher time, where things don't go as you're planning. There's a lot to learn from that for me."

Vandoorne, who has been affiliated with McLaren since 2013, won titles in the F4 Eurocup series, Formula Renault 2.0 and GP2 during his time in the junior categories – and was also a frontrunner in Formula Renault 3.5 and the Japan-based Super Formula championship.

OLD NOW car festival in TSUKUBA

昨日　久々に筑波サーキットに　観戦に行ってました。

大会名は　OLD NOW car festival  ！

長く続いた　この大会　今年で最後なんだそうです・・

 

 

ＧＷ中ってことで　観客一臂でびっくりしたです！！

昼過ぎについたけど　場外駐車場　ほぼ一杯。

あ　パドックパス　いつも観戦券だけでいいのに　今回は＋１０００円でした。

観戦券は３０００円。

写真のせた以外にも　たくさん　レースやデモラン　催し物があって

一日楽しめました。

 

 

ちなみに　ダンロップコーナー内側付近に出店している　フードコート

日本円では　買えないんです！！！

王国通貨（通貨の名称忘れた）と　両替しなければいけないんです・・・

 

しかも　その交換比率が　１：１じゃないんですよ・・・・・・・

日本円５００円　　→　　３００王国通貨　みたいな！

で　この王国通貨　使ってると　錯覚しちゃうんですよ！！

 

 

フランクフルト　２００王国通貨　って書いてあると

おッ！　意外と良心的な値段じゃないか！！　　って錯覚する・・・（1:1の交換比率と錯覚する）

冷静に日本円に換算すると　意外と高い・・・みたいな。。（驚）

 

この交換比率が　（売り手からすると）絶妙だよね！

1:1 とか　10:1なら換算しやすいけど

5:3とか　計算が面倒で　いちいち日本円に換算しないで購入してしまい
