苦労の代償
Compensation for your trouble:

責任が重く、一瞬の気の休まりもなく、気の遠くなるような努力を継続してはじめて、当たり前と評価される。経営者とは考えれば考えるほど、割りの合わない仕事かもしれない。そのような厳しい生き様に値する代償を経営者は得られるのか。
A business operator will be considered to be natural only after he has long continued to make an effort that is mind-boggling and so responsible that he cannot relax for a moment. The more I think about it, the less I think it may pay to be a business operator. And the problem is whether you can get compensation for that kind of rigorous life.

得られると思う。経営者が身を挺して努力しているためには、多くの社員が今日、また将来に希望をつないで生活し、そのため経営者を信頼し、尊敬してくれる。この金銭では代えられない、人の喜びや感謝を受けているということこそ、苦労に値する代償ではないか。
My answer is you can get it. Behind the operator's efforts like that, there are many employees who are living their lives having hopes for today and the future and believe in and respect the operator. These gratitude from the people could not be counted in money. And receiving these valuable things itself is the very true compensation for his efforts, I think.
