（状況説明）それが限界。数ページ残した本を、ほとんど反射的に手に取り、上着のポケットに突っ込む。その続きを読むつもりは、すでに消えていた。
That's a limit. I read on the book to the part where only a few pages left to the end, but almost reflectively I took it, and pushed it into a pocket of my jacket. My intention to read the rest of the story had already disappeared.

リーダーシップと謙虚さ
Leadership and modesty:

経営者は、強烈なリーダーシップを持つと同時に、一方ではそれを否定するような謙虚さを兼ね備えていなければならない。
A business operator should have intense leadership, and at the same time, on the other hand, he should have modesty that might deny it.

強いリーダーシップシップだけでは暴走してしまうし、謙虚さだけでは企業集団をダイナミックに引っ張っていく力強さがたりなくなる。
Strong leadership alone makes things out of control, and modesty alone lacks strength to lead a group of corporations in a dynamic way.
