夫れ当抄に明かす所の観心の本尊とは、一代諸経の中には但法華経、法華経二十八品の中には但本門寿量品、本門寿量品の中には但文底深秘の大法にして本地唯密の正法なり。
此の本尊に人あり法あり。人は謂く、久遠元初の境智冥合、自受用報身。法は謂く、久遠名字の本地難思の境智の妙法なり。法に即してこれ人、人に即してこれ法、人法の名は殊なれども、その体は恒に一なり。その体は一なりと雖も、而も人法宛然なり。応に知るべし、当抄は人即法の本尊の御抄なるのみ。

The Object of worship for Observing the Mind disclosed in this writing is, only the Lotus Sutra in the sacred teachings of the Buddha's lifetime, only the Life Span chapter of the essential teachings in twenty eight chapters of the Lotus Sutra, only the great Law deeply hidden in the depth of the sentences and the originally mystic and ultimate entity of the True Buddha in the Life Span chapter of the Lotus Sutra.
There are two aspects of the Person and the Law with this object of worship. The person is the fusion of objective reality and subjective widsom of the origin of the True Buddha's enlightenment in the infinite past, Buddha with the property of intrinsically perfect wisdom. The Law is Myo-ho, the name of the origin of the True Buddha's enlightenment in the infinite past, the ultimate entity most difficult to understand, the unity of the objective reality and subject wisdom. The Law namely is the Person, the Person namely is the Law. Names are different though, the entity is always the same one. The entity is the same though, there are two as they were. So bear in mind that this is just the writing about the true object of worship, oneness of the Person and the Law.
