At the end of Edo period , Tonosama stared at a tea cup , and said ,

" The men of modern times may be difficult to understand it ."

　幕末、あるトノサマが。
　「これの良さが分かるようになるのに 50年かかった」

　小さな茶碗、
　「大名の子として生まれ　この歳（とし）になって　しみじみと分かるようになった」
　「次の時代は　どうなるか分からないが　この世界が　伝わっているのだろうか」

　近代世界は庶民の時代、彼らは真善美よりも「ノム・ウツ・カウ」。だから、彼らに支持される芸術家・小説家、どれほどのものか。

　あの漱石や鴎外の作品、それほどのものだったのか。
