PCR test for the second time in my life. The first test was to amplify and detect the virus gene, which was requested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government when I went whale watching in the Ogasawara Islands during the corona crisis.
The sensitivity is about 70%, and if the virus is not present in the place where the specimen is collected, it will be negative even if it is infected. For this reason, it is not "negative" but "not detected".
The test I did today is also a PCR test. Last time, I think I just put saliva (swipe method?) on a cotton swab, but this time I was asked for about 1cc of saliva.
...because I was hungry. Finish the inspection quickly and eat at Mac! When I was thinking about it, the saliva collection ended in no time. By the way, the cost is 27,000 yen (tears).
In Tokyo, it seems that free PCR tests are also being carried out, but now that the number of infected people is increasing, it is daunting to move to Tokyo. So, I took the exam in Chiba in the countryside.
Results will be out in two days. Now wash your neck and wait.
