F1 バトン 去就

 McLaren-Honda driver Jenson Button says he regards this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as his final Formula 1 race, despite the potential of a return in 2018.

Button, 36, will step away from the Formula 1 grid next year, with Stoffel Vandoorne replacing him, though will remain involved at McLaren with a new developmental role.

Although there is the possibility that Button could return to the cockpit full-time in 2018.

"I go into this weekend thinking it's going to be my last race," said Button.

"At this moment in time I don't want to be racing in Formula 1 past this race, that's the whole idea. I think of this as my last race, and hopefully everybody else does as well."
