日本の民主党の経済政策も似たような状況ですね。
違いは直截的な批判に変えて、皮肉でも"they apparently feel the need to pretend to be stupid"と支持者からは未だに言ってもらえるかどうかでしょうか。

それとも、日本の経済学者やエコノミスト（相変わらずこの違いがよくわからない）は文章に雅量を求めないから？

それとも、そもそも民主党に論評すべき明確な政策方針がないから？
