魂を磨く：
To enhance your soul:

死を迎えるときには、現世でつくり上げた地位も名誉も財産もすべて脱ぎ捨て、魂だけ携えて新しい旅立ちをしなくてはならない。
When you enter into your death, you have to start your new journey only with your soul, throwing off all things you have acquired in this world, such as position, honor, and fortune.
俗世間に生き、さまざまな苦楽を味わい、幸不幸の波に洗われながら、やがて息絶えるその日まで、倦まず弛まず一所懸命生きていく。そのプロセスそのものを磨き砂として、おのれの人間性を高め、精神を修養し、この世にやってきたときよりも高い次元の魂を持ってこの世を去っていく。このことより他に、人間が生きる目的はない。
To live your life without being disappointed and tired, amid a variety of ups and downs in this world, until your last day. That process itself should be your grinding powder of your personality, through which you can enhance your mind to the level your soul would be greater than that when you were born. There is nothing but this for the aim of our life in this world.
