人の上に立つ人：
The person who should stand above people:

人の上に立つ者には才覚よりも人格が問われる。人並みはずれた才覚の持ち主であればあるほど、その才におぼれないよう、つまり、余人にはない力が誤った方向へつかわれないようコントロールするものが必要になる。それが徳であり、人格なのだ。
What is required for the person who have to stand atop people is rather personality than resource. The more extraordinary resource he has, the more strength he needs to have so that he never drowns in his resourcefulness, or his capabilities others don't have will not be used in the wrong direction. That strength is virtue, or a good personality of man.
