In order to do a good job:

いい仕事をするためには、仕事と自分の距離をなくして、「自分は仕事、仕事は自分」というくらいの不可分の状態を経験してみることが必要です。
In order to do a good job, you need to experience an extreme condition with no distance between you and your job where there is no separation between you and your job, as if you were thinking " I am a job or a job is me."

すなわち、心と身体ごと、仕事の中に投げ入れてしまうほど、仕事を好きになってしまうのです。いわば仕事と「心中」するくらいの深い愛情を持って働いてみないと、仕事の真髄をつかむことはできません。
In other words, you should love your job to the extent that you would like to put your all, both your body and mind, into the job. Unless you have a deep affection for the job as if you would try to kill yourself with the job, you can never get the secret of the job.
