非凡なる凡人
Uncommon common people:

創業間もない京セラでは、優秀で利発な人に限って、「この会社には将来がない」と辞めていきました。残ったのは、気の利かない、平凡で、転職する才能もない鈍な人材でした。しかし、その鈍な人材が十年後、二十年後には素晴らしいリーダーとなっていったのです。
In the early days of Kyocera Corporation, soon after it was founded, some who were all excellent and smart quit the company, saying " there is no bright future in this company." What were left behind were common, dull human resources who had no ability to change their jobs. However, such dull human resources would become great leaders in a decade or two decades.
