The weather is getting warmer here in Kyoto.
The other day I went to Kurama on the Eizan train from Demachiyanagi Station which is on the Keihan line.
You will be able to see cherry blossom from the Eizan train and the journey takes about 30 mins!!
Outside Kurama station there is a big wooden red ' TENGU' ( A long nosed goblin).
We walked on the mountain trail to Kibune which was great exercise with wonderful views!!
There is a river that cascades down the mountain and there are many restaurants that have wooden platforms that you can sit on next to the waterfalls in the Summer.
There is an Onsen ( Hot springs) too.
Many people are visiting Kyoto now because spring in Kyoto is beautiful.
There are Lots of things to see and do...
If you are thinking about coming here and have not bought a ticket yet...
It's never too late..
Cherry blossom is blooming from the south to the north..
You can catch it at its best at in the middle of April but if you miss it the weather is still nice for sightseeing..
Kyoto has about 600 temples and about 400 shrines..it's easy to get around by a bicycle and there is also an extensive bus and subway systems.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our traditional Japanese inn which is called a Ryokan!!
You can try our hot bath and wearing Yukata which are traditional Japanese pajamas Provided in your room!!
