吉田茂の一生を解説した「熱血『ワンマン宰相』」の続きです。

その中で、吉田茂の敏腕外交官としての思想は、中国の漢籍にあったことを知りました。

詩吟の題目にもなっている漢詩の作者に、佐藤一斎がいます。

何と、吉田茂（竹内綱の五男）は、佐藤一斎の孫である資産家・吉田健三の養子に入ったのですね。

「配佐藤氏碩儒一斎先生之孫也無子養友人竹內綱五子茂為嗣」

佐藤一斎は幕末の儒学者。門下から佐久間象山や渡辺崋山を輩出。

佐藤氏の家系にあたる儒学の大家・一斎先生の孫（吉田健三）にして、子供が無く、友人である竹内綱の五男・茂を養子とした。

This is a continuation of "The Passionate 'Autocratic Prime Minister'" which explains the life of Yoshida Shigeru.

In it, I learned that Yoshida Shigeru's ideas as a skilled diplomat were based on Chinese classics.

The author of the Chinese poem that is also the subject of the shigin is Sato Issai.

Actually, Yoshida Shigeru (Takeuchi Tsuna's fifth son) was adopted by Sato Issai's grandson, the wealthy Yoshida Kenzo.

Sato Issai was a Confucian scholar in the late Edo period. His disciples included Sakuma Shozan and Watanabe Kazan.

He was the grandson (Yoshida Kenzo) of Issai, a master of Confucianism who was related to the Sato clan, and had no children, so he adopted his friend Takeuchi Tsuna's fifth son, Shige.
