In the past, the three public corporations (Japan National Railways, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation, and Monopoly Public Corporation), as well as the postal service, had (and in some cases still have) hospitals (vocational hospitals).

I used to receive regular checkups at Tokyo Senbai Hospital (including International University of Health and Welfare, Mita Hospital, which was later transferred to the management of International University of Health and Welfare).
The International University of Health and Welfare built a new hospital on the adjacent land, and the former site of Tokyo Senbai Hospital was sold to Sumitomo Mitsui Fudosan.

The hospital has been demolished and construction is underway, and it will soon open as the Sumitomo Mitsui Fudosan Azabu Juban Building.
Today I stopped by on my lunchtime walk and found the landscape had changed completely.
