私は子どもの頃から落語が好きで、笑点も少年時代には熱心に見ていました。昨今、落語といえば桂歌丸さんが酸素吸入しながら活躍している姿をよく目にします。正直申し上げれば、笑点の司会では初代・立川談志さん、二代目・前田武彦さん、三代目・三波晋介さん、四代目・先代の三遊亭圓楽さんの印象が強く、歌丸さんになってからはほとんど見なくなり、落語家としても同門の桂米丸さんが好きでした。

Speaking of rakugo these days, we often see Utamaru Katsura performing while inhaling oxygen.
To be honest, I had a strong impression of Shoten's host Danshi Tatekawa, the second generation Takehiko Maeda, the third generation Shinsuke Minami, and the fourth generation Enraku Sanyutei. I almost lost sight of it.
As a rakugo performer, I liked my fellow student Yonemaru Katsura more than Utamaru Katsura.
しかし、私が勤務している職場のビルで、年一度開催されている寄席のイベント（トークショー）に登場され、身近でお話しをお聴きしてからファンになり、過日、NHK『ファミリーヒストリー』（12月20日放送）を見てから大好きになりました。たまたま、歌丸師匠が住んでいる家の近くに転居していたこともわかり、なおさら親しみを感じた次第です。来年は、ぜひとも寄席のチケットを取り歌丸さんの落語（はなし）をお聴きしたいと思いました。

By chance, I found out that I had moved to a place near the house where Master Utamaru lives, and I felt even more familiar with him.
Next year, I would definitely like to get a ticket to the vaudeville theater and listen to Mr. Utamaru's rakugo.
トークショーで伺ったのですが、落語家は関西の呼び名で江戸では「噺（はなし）家」と呼んでいたそうです。歌丸さんが生まれ育ち、現在も住んでおられるのは横浜市南区真金町です。かつての遊郭エリアであり、そこで歌丸さんの祖母が遊女屋を経営していました。3歳の時に父が亡くなった上に、諸事情から母が家を出てしまったので、歌丸さんは厳格な祖母に育てられたのですね。
NHK『ファミリーヒストリー』では、泉ピン子さんも登場しましたが、そこでも私は自分の認識を改めピン子さんの大ファンになり、最近、ネットで拝聴している二葉百合子さんのラストコンサートに、ピン子さんが花束を持って出てきます。何度見ても感動します。
I heard from a talk show that rakugo performers in Kansai used to call them 'storytellers' in Edo. Mr. Utamaru was born and raised in Magane-cho, Minami-ku, Yokohama, where he still lives. It used to be a red-light district where Utamaru-san's grandmother ran a prostitute shop. His father died when he was three years old, and his mother left home for various reasons, so Utamaru was raised by his strict grandmother.
Izumi Pinko also appeared on NHK "Family History".
There, too, I changed my perception and became a big fan of Pinko.
Recently, at Yuriko Futaba's last concert, which I'm listening to on YouTube, Pinko will come out with a bouquet. She impresses me every time I see her.
