たばこの気持ち

最近、私がとても驚き、感動したのは、今も馬車道に牛馬の水飲み場が残っていたことです。

それは、馬車道十番館の右隣りに、ひっそりとありました。

Recently, I was very surprised and impressed to see that a watering hole for cows and horses still remains on Bashamichi.

It was quietly located right next to the Bashamichi Jubankan building.

メールへの返信、会報の原稿下書き、掲載写真の加工、月次会計書類の承認などを済ませました。

途中のランチは、妻特製のお弁当でした。

焼肉、ハム、ソーセージ、ゆで卵など、彩りもきれいなお弁当。

妻に感謝です。

僕は退屈しのぎに、先週のテレビ東京「アド街」の足跡を辿ってみました。

いま、馬車道を通り抜け、横浜税関を後ろから眺めています。

強い日差しが、運河の川面にキラキラ反射し、とても心地よいのです。

I followed the footsteps of TV Tokyo's "Ad Street" last week to relieve boredom.

About 80% of the ad street rankings were taken with a smartphone, and by doing so, I was able to re-recognize the positional relationship between shops and famous historic sites.

I am now passing through Bashamichi and looking at Yokohama Customs from behind.

The strong sunlight is reflected on the river surface of the canal and it is very comfortable.

二郎系ラーメンが食べたくなったので、私たちは「豚仙人」に行きました。

私は、今年70歳になります。

すごいボリュームでしたが、余裕を持って食べきりました。

We wanted to eat Jiro-style ramen, so we went to Buta Sennin.

I will be 70 years old this year.

It was a great volume, but I ate it with plenty of room.

今日、私は田町のOB会事務所で、たまっていたルーチン業務を半分ほど片付けました。

私のランチは、妻の焼肉弁当でした。卵焼きも美味しかったです。

お手伝いを終え、1時間ほどの詩吟のお稽古を終えて、冷たい小雨が降り始め頃に帰宅しました。

私より早く帰宅した妻は、横浜南部市場で仕入れ冷凍していた黒毛和牛を使い、牛丼を作っていました。

焼酎の黒霧島のお湯割りを飲みながら、牛丼を美味しくいただきました。

Today I was at the retirees' association office in Tamachi, finishing up half of the routine work that had piled up.

My lunch was my wife's yakiniku bento. The omelette was also delicious.

After helping out and practicing Shigin for about an hour, I returned home just as a cold light rain began to fall.

My wife came home earlier than I did and made a beef bowl using the frozen Japanese black beef she had purchased at the Yokohama Nanbu Market.

We enjoyed the beef bowl with a glass of shochu (Japanese rice wine), Kurokirishima, topped with hot water.

久しぶりの「港の見える丘公園」でした。階段を上るのがきつく感じました。

上りきると、すぐに風車がみえます。私はその由来について、きちんと読んでみました。

〈フランス山の風車〉

1896(明治29)年にフランス領事館とその官邸が建設された時、このフランス山には井戸水を汲み揚げるための風車が設置されました。

風車が役置されたのは、レンガ造りの遺構が残されている場所です。

残念ながら、フランス領事公邸で使用されていた風車の形は、写真などの資料が残されてていないため判りません。

しかし、同時代に使われていた「フェリス女学院の赤い風車」や「ヴィラ・サクソニア」の写真から、なおフランス山の風事は、多翼型の風車であったろうと思われます。フランスに残されている負料から、1909(明治42)年頃までは存在していたようです。

フランス山をしのぶモニュメントとして、フランス山の公園整備に際し、多翼型の風車を設置しました。

風車の色は、かつてのフランス国旗の色にちなんでトリコロール(青・白・赤)に塗り分けられています。

また、風車か回ると水を汲み揚げるようになっています。

今回の公園整備に伴う工事の際に、風車のレンガ造り基礎が見つかりました。井戸の北斜面に2墓、南側にやや小さめの基礎が2基の合計4基です。

北側の基礎は、斜面の整備に支障をきたすため、掘り上げて新たに設置した風車を中に、元の位置に合わせて限示しました。

また南側の1基はそのままで、遠路の地下に現状保存しています。

When the French Consulate and its official residence were built in 1896 (Meiji 29), a windmill was installed on Mt. France to pump up well water.

The windmill was placed where the remains of a brick structure remain.

Unfortunately, the shape of the windmill used at the French consul's official residence is unknown because there are no materials such as photographs left.

However, from the pictures of "Ferris Jogakuin's Red Windmill" and "Villa Saxonia" which were used in the same period, it seems that Mt. It seems that it existed until around 1909 (Meiji 42) from the surcharges left in France.

As a monument to remember Mt. France, a multi-blade windmill was installed when the Mt. France park was developed.

The color of the windmill is divided into tricolor (blue, white, red) after the color of the former French flag.

Also, when the windmill rotates, it draws up water.

The brick foundation of the windmill was found during the construction work associated with the maintenance of the park. There are two tombs on the northern slope of the well and two smaller foundations on the south side, for a total of four.

Since the foundation on the north side interferes with the maintenance of the slope, we dug up and installed a new windmill inside and limited it to its original position.

In addition, the one on the south side remains as it is, and is currently preserved in the basement far away.

最近、ファミリーマートでもレジではなく、PayPayでセルフレジを使うようになりました。

たばこは、自分で手に取れる店内の棚にはないので、通常のレジで買いますが、ペットボトルなどの飲料だけを買うなら、セルフレジの方が簡単で便利ですね。

Lately I have started using the self-checkout at FamilyMart with PayPay instead of the cash register.

Cigarettes are not on the shelves in the store where I can pick them up myself, so I buy them at the regular cash register, but if I only want to buy beverages such as plastic bottles, the self-checkout is easier and more convenient.

僕は、ほろ酔い気分でうたた寝していたら、僕のケータイが鳴りました。

「なんだよ〜っ！」と思いつつ、ケータイに出たら千葉県柏市在住で、東京塙会役員のYさんでした。

郵便は配達が遅くなりました。しかし、レターパックは翌日配達されるのですね。

Yさん宛に、横浜市から昨日の昼頃に投函したレターパックは、柏市までだと翌日の午前中には到着したようです。

それで、Yさんは私の送った文書類を一度読み終え、とても感動されたみたいで、そのことを伝えたかったらしく、私のケータイに電話してきたのですね。

安らかな眠りを中断させられ、「なんだよ、久しぶりにのんびりしてたのに」と思いつつ、Y先輩には誠心誠意、丁寧な言葉で対応させていただきました。

Yさんによれば、「宮崎さんの文章は会話文体を多用し、あからさまな正直さで、その場の雰囲気やお友だちの皆さんの人柄まで、目に浮かぶように設計されています。こんな文章は誰でもが書けるものではありません。びっくりしました」と述べていました。

Yさんは教師になりたくて、浪人までして埼玉大学を卒業され、千葉県内で教職に就きました。

そして、Yさんは定年退職後、東京塙会のお手伝いをされ、毎月2回地元の塙町に行き、町の様子を会報で報告されています。

その報告書を作るのに、「いつも苦労して書きながら、もう辞めたいんですが、どうしてもうまく書こうと考えてしまいます」とも言っておられました。

そこで、私がたびたび申し上げているとおり、「私は小学生の書く作文を模範にしているだけです」とお答えしておきました。

今回、私が書いたものに対して、Yさんからご感想を賜り、「う〜ん、そうなんだ。社交辞令ではない、素直な感想なのかな」とすごく嬉しかったのです。

I was dozing off in a tipsy mood when my cell phone rang.

What the hell? I answered it and it was Mr. Y, a board member of Tokyo Hanawa Kai, living in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.

The mail was delivered late.　However, LetterPack is delivered the next day.

It seems that the LetterPack addressed to Mr. Y, which I posted from Yokohama City yesterday around noon, arrived the next day in the morning if it was to Kashiwa City.

So, Mr. Y read the documents I sent once and seemed to be very moved.

My peaceful sleep was interrupted, and I thought to myself, "What the heck, I was just relaxing after a long time," but I responded to Mr. Y in a sincere and courteous manner.

According to Mr. Y, "Mr. Miyazaki's writing uses a conversational style and is blatantly honest, designed to make you see the atmosphere of the place and even the personalities of your friends. Not everyone can write such sentences. I was surprised."

Mr. Y wanted to become a teacher, so he even became a ronin and graduated from Saitama University and took a teaching job in Chiba Prefecture.

Then, after retiring, Mr. Y assisted the Tokyo Hanawa Association, visiting his hometown Hanawa twice a month to report on the town in their newsletter.

He said, "I always have a hard time writing these reports, and I want to quit, but I just can't help thinking about how to make them better."

So, as I have often said, I responded, "I just use elementary school students' writing as a model."

This time, Mr. Y gave me his impression of what I had written and said, "Hmmm, I see. I was very happy to hear that it was not a social comment, but an honest impression."
