私は、東京でのOB会のお手伝いを終え、横浜で妻と待ち合わせ午後4時から、今村商店で飲みました。

いい気分になって、お会計をしていたらケータイが鳴りました。

誰かと思ったら福島県立棚倉高校の担任だった和知先生なので、会計は妻に任せ電話に出ました。

そしたら、教え子の自分たちが古希を迎えることができたので、先生にお礼の置き時計をプレゼントしよう、ということで「置き時計をいただいた、ありがとう」と感謝されました。

正確には、クラスの生徒を代表して、藤井くん、木田くん、芳賀くんの3人が贈り物を先生の自宅に届けたのです。

それはそれとして、私は横浜高島屋の地下で、千鳥足になりながら、和知先生と15分お話をさせていただきました。

和知先生の近況は、藤井くんからLINEで届いていました。ここに投稿させていただきます。

83歳、お元気でしたが、近くに住んでる3人だけじゃなくて、早く横浜で会ったメンバーやその時来られなかったメンバーと会いたいよ、と言っていました。

After helping out at the alumni association in Tokyo, I met my wife in Yokohama at 4:00 pm and had a drink at Imamura Shoten.

I thought it was Mr. Wachi, who was a homeroom teacher at Fukushima Prefectural Tanagura High School, so I left the accounting to his wife and answered the phone.

Then, since the students themselves were able to reach 70 years old, they said, "Thank you for the table clock."

To be precise, three people, Fujii-kun, Kida-kun, and Haga-kun, delivered the gifts to the teacher's house on behalf of the students in the class.

By the way, I had a 15-minute conversation with Dr. Wachi in the basement of Yokohama Takashimaya, staggering.

He was 83 years old and was fine, but he said that he wanted to meet not only the three people who live nearby, but also the members he met earlier in Yokohama and the members who couldn't come at that time.
