私は3回目になりますが、ランドマークタワー69階の展望台に来ています

10歳下の義兄親子が、わが家に遊びにきたので、横浜を案内しています

富士山には雲がかかっていました

遠くに東京スカイツリーも見えます

This is the third time I have been to the observation deck on the 69th floor of the Landmark Tower!

My brother-in-law and his son, who are 10 years younger than me, came to visit our house and I showed them around Yokohama!

Fuji was covered with clouds.

Tokyo Sky Tree can be seen in the distance.

昨日（2025.1.28）、がんで闘病中だった経済アナリストの森永卓郎さんが、原発不明がんのため自宅でご逝去されました（享年67歳）。心からお悔やみ申し上げます。【合掌】

彼は、東京大学経済学部を卒業後の1980年4月に日本専売公社（1985年からJT）に入社しました。その後、経済企画庁への出向、三和総合研究所に移籍、獨協大学経済学部教授、テレビコメンテーターとしてもご活躍されました。

また、ヘビースモーカーとしても知られ、2010年のたばこ税増税の際には、定価改定前に110カートンを買いだめし、1箱1000円になったとしても「一生分を買い込んで冷凍保存する」と言い話題になりました。

私が新幹線通勤をしていたとき、森永さんが1人でホームの喫煙所に立ち、たばこを吸っている姿を見て「いい機会なので同じ愛煙家として話しかけてみよう」と思いましたが、目が合った瞬間、彼の目力に圧倒されそのままスルーしてしまいました。

今思えば、とても残念な想いが残ります。

Yesterday（2025.1.28）, economic analyst Takuro Morinaga, who had been fighting cancer, passed away at his home from cancer of unknown origin (aged 67). We offer our heartfelt condolences. [Rest in peace]

After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo, he joined the Japan Tobacco and Salt Public Corporation (JT from 1985) in April 1980. He was then seconded to the Economic Planning Agency, transferred to Sanwa Research Institute, and became a professor at the Faculty of Economics at Dokkyo University and a TV commentator.

He was also known as a heavy smoker, and when the tobacco tax was increased in 2010, he stocked up on 110 cartons before the price revision, and even if the price went down to 1,000 yen per pack, he said, "I'll buy a lifetime supply and freeze it."

When I was commuting by Shinkansen, I saw Morinaga standing alone at the smoking area on the platform smoking a cigarette, and I thought, "This is a good opportunity to talk to him as a fellow smoker," but the moment our eyes met, I was overwhelmed by the power of his gaze and just ignored him.

Thinking about it now, I am left with very sad feelings.

Over the past six months, I have had many worries and I have lost the stamina to keep up with the printed word.

However, after enduring the time, I have seen signs of recovery.

I waited in line at the Noge "Hanamichi" bar for 45 minutes, and was engrossed in the book "Western Affairs" by Fukuzawa Yukichi that I had been reading.

I was sure that I was okay, but worries and doubts were inevitable, so I resolved to keep repeating them until I die.

登山用のリュックがぱんぱんになるほど、ネーブルと八朔を詰め込んできました

前日の午後に採ったので、今日になっても新鮮そのものです

ネーブルにしゃぶりつき、八朔は丁寧に皮をむいて、せっせと食べています

I packed my hiking backpack full to capacity with navel oranges and hassaku oranges.

I picked them the afternoon before, so they're still super fresh today.

I bite into the navel oranges, carefully peel the hassaku oranges, and eat them busily.

老体に良いかどうかは別にして、初めてのサムライマック炙り醤油風 ダブル肉厚ビーフセットを食べてみました

ポテトMサイズ🍟、ホットコーヒーMサイズは、双方ともに量が多く残してしまいそうでしたが、結果的に余計な心配でした

サムライマックはボリュームたっぷりで、お腹いっぱいになりました

私にとっては、これっきりの体験として、良い思い出にしておきましょう

I had my first Samurai Mac Seared Soy Sauce Style Double Thick Beef Set, which may or may not be good for my old body. I will keep it as a good memory for me as it was a one and only experience for me.

昨日（1月20日）、私のちょい飲みは妻が作ったトマト味🍅のロールキャベツを食べながら、赤ワインを美味しくいただきました

Yesterday（1月20日）, my little drink was a delicious red wine while eating my wife's tomato flavored🍅 cabbage rolls!

私の息子が、「親父はスチールシャフトアイアンではなく、あと7〜8年家族でゴルフをするために、俺の冬のボーナスで軽くて振りやすいカーボンシャフトのアイアンセットを買ってやるから、いろいろ試して目星をつけておいてね」と言われました

そして、テーラーメイドのカーボンシャフト（R）アイアン5本セット〈ステレス〉を買ってもらったのですが、それに付随して息子からのレッスンを受けることになり、その辛さに辟易しています

そこまで頼んでないのに、「どうせゴルフ⛳️を続けるなら上手になった方がいい」わけですが、今さら基礎からのレッスンは老体にこたえます

自己流のゴルフ⛳️練習だと、どうしても楽をしてしまい、おまけに悪い癖がついてしまいます

そのまま練習を続けていたら、80歳近くまでゴルフ⛳️を続けることができないと思い直して、せっせとゴルフ練習場⛳️に通おうと思います

My son told me, "I'll buy you a set of light and easy-to-swing carbon shaft irons with my winter bonus so that we can play golf together as a family for the next 7-8 years, instead of steel shaft irons, so please try out a few and decide which one you like best."

So he bought me a set of 5 TaylorMade carbon shaft irons, "Steelless," but I'm fed up with the pain of having to take lessons from my son.

I didn't ask him to do that, but he said, "If I'm going to keep playing golf⛳️, I'd better get better," but lessons from the basics are hard on my old body now.

When I practice golf⛳️ on my own, I always end up taking it easy, and on top of that, I pick up bad habits.

I've decided that if I continue practicing like this, I won't be able to keep playing golf⛳️ until I'm almost 80 years old, so I'm going to start going to the golf driving range⛳️ as hard as I can.

本日、私たちのちょい飲みは、バーミヤン新羽店でアサヒスーパードライ瓶ビール（中）を飲みながら、チンジャオロース、チャーハン、豚骨ラーメン（替玉20円4個）、餃子🥟などを美味しくいただきました

私がバーミヤンに行ったのは、７〜8年ぶりでしたが、さすがのコスパ良しは健在でした。スカイラークグループの中で、ジョナサンが停滞し、ガストとバーミヤンは堅調という報道は分かるような気がしました

Today, we had a little drink at Bamiyan Nippa, drinking a medium-sized bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer while enjoying chinjaolo roast, fried rice, pork bone ramen (4 refried eggs for 20 yen), gyoza (gyoza), etc.

 It had been 7 or 8 years since I had been to Bamiyan, but the restaurant was still very cost-effective. I hadn't been to Bamiyan in 7 or 8 years, but as expected, the cosy atmosphere was still there. I could understand the reports that Jonathan is stagnant and Gusto and Bamiyan are strong in the Skylark Group.
