一昨日の夕刻、東京での用事を済ませ、最寄り駅に着いたちょうどその時、改札口を出て自転車置き場に向かう窓から、雲のかかっていない筑波山が見えるのに、すごい雨足のゲリラ豪雨、おまけに雷までなってきました。The evening before yesterday, I had finished running some errands in Tokyo and had just arrived at the nearest station when, as I was leaving the ticket gate and heading toward the bicycle parking area, I was able to see Mount Tsukuba clear of clouds from the window, but a sudden downpour began, with heavy rain and even thunder.
ホームの待合室に戻り、30分ほど雨宿りしたら、雨が止んだので濡れずには帰宅できました。After returning to the waiting room on the platform and taking shelter from the rain for about 30 minutes, the rain stopped and I was able to return home without getting wet.
